
20th Season: Friends
This year, the Atlanta Philharmonic Orchestra celebrates 20 seasons of music, friendship, and community. Our 2025–2026 season theme, Friends, honors the connections that make our music possible—between our musicians, with our audiences, and within the wider community.

This season features Concertmaster Earl Hough, Atlanta Symphony violinist Kenn Wagner, cello section lead and Concerto Competition winner Tim Feverston, and our annual free Christmas collaboration with the North Decatur Presbyterian Church Community Choir, directed by Huu Mai.
We are also thrilled to present the winning works of our Annual Composition Contest:

- As the Garden Bows by Nicole Knorr
Since our founding in 2005 as one of the first LGBTQ+ inclusive community orchestras in the world, APO has been a space where musicians and audiences can be themselves. Two decades later, we remain the only orchestra of our kind in the Southeast.
The Atlanta Philharmonic Orchestra is a proud member of the Atlanta Queer Arts Alliance (AQuAA), a coalition of LGBTQ+ arts organizations committed to celebrating and promoting queer culture through the power of the arts. Members include: Atlanta Freedom Bands, Atlanta Philharmonic Orchestra, Southern Fried Queer Pride, OurSong, Out Front Theatre Company, Out on Film, and Voices of Note.
