Jocelyn Rowland Khalaf

Mary Bichner

Composition: Oh, the Of It All!
Performance date: February 2027
Mary has sound-to-color synesthesia — when she hears a pitch, she sees a specific color. She’s turned that gift into commissioned work across the world: a string quartet inspired by Santorini’s sunset colors as composer-in-residence in Greece, and two orchestral suites written for Cambridge, MA’s historic Mount Auburn Cemetery. Her music has been featured by National Geographic, BBC Music Magazine, and NPR, and she recently completed her first full-length opera, inspired by Marie Antoinette.
Harry Bulow
